Biography

Steven Vandebril earned his PhD in Chemical Engineering in 2010 at the University of Leuven, in the Soft Matter, Rheology and Technology (SMaRT) group, where he focused on stabilizing immiscible polymer blends using nanoparticles. He began his career as a Research Chemist at Soudal in Belgium, developing hybrid systems based on silane-terminated polymers. After three years in the polymer processing industry, he returned to the adhesive and sealant sector. In 2019, he joined Kaneka Belgium N.V. as a Senior Research & Technical Service Specialist, supporting EMEA customers and managing research on new applications and innovative hybrid polymer technologies.
