Biography

Shalinder is an accomplished and results-driven Paint Technical Consultant with over 25 years of
diverse experience in the chemical and process engineering fields. She holds a bachelor’s degree
in chemistry from the University of Malaya, Malaysia, and a Master of Science in Chemical and
Process Engineering from the National University of Malaysia, obtained in 2001.
Throughout her extensive career, Shalinder has specialized in Paint and Coatings Technology,
Material Science, and Color Technology. She has brought over a decade of firsthand leadership
in R&D, product development, paint testing, and up scaling coatings manufacturing processes,
having led a technical team of more than 70 personnel. Her extensive background includes
working across multiple paint manufacturing operations in Malaysia, covering a wide spectrum
of coatings such as Industrial Coatings, Vehicle Refinish, Coil Coatings, OEM Paints, Protective
Coatings, and Architectural Systems.
An analytical thinker and process engineering expert, Shalinder has successfully translated her
technical expertise into impactful competency-based training programs, seminars, customized
content development for Technical conferences, and consulting services tailored to the specific
needs of the paint and coatings and its related industry. Her training and consulting efforts have
reached over 2,400 professionals over 130 companies, strengthening technical capabilities in the
paint and coating community.
In 2024, Shalinder joined Chemours International Operations Sarl as EMEA’s Technical Specialist
for Coatings, where she now focuses on supporting the coatings industry with expert guidance
on Ti-Pure™ Titanium dioxide grade utilization, continuing her mission to drive innovation and
excellence in the field
