Biography

Gilbert Michiels holds a bachelor degree in industrial chemistry. He has a 40+ years of experience in the coatings industry. He started his career in 1981 in the coatings department of DuPont de Nemours in Belgium. He worked in different labs and was, among other things, responsible for the development of pigment dispersions for automotive paints. In 1996 he moved to the technical service goup of the Titanium dioxide business unit. In 2015 the TiO2 business unit spun of from DuPont to form Chemours. His current role is Technical Consultant for TiO2 customers for coatings in EMEA.
