Biography
Dr. Frank Polzer, sustainability manager for the Acetyl value chain at Celanese, focuses on driving sustainable solutions to help our customers in the regions EMEA and AP lowering the carbon footprint of their products while moving to a circular economy. He is serving as an expert for mass-balance & renewable feedstocks as well as representing Celanese in various advocacy groups around sustainability topics.
Frank has been working 9 years with Celanese and started his career in the global R&D for emulsions polymers. After 2 years as the head of the engineered fabrics application department EMEA, he joined the sustainability group for the Acetyls value chain. Frank received his PhD in Polymer Chemistry from the University of Bayreuth (Germany) and spent two years as a scholar at the Materials Science & Engineering Department at the University of Delaware (USA).
