Kaolins can be processed to products giving paints & coatings an added value. Different technologies for refining are used to produce tailor made fillers with positive impact on hiding power, scrub resistance and mattening effects. Particle morphology can be designed to save binder or titanium dioxide without loss of technical performance. AKPure and Chinafill present a full range of multifunctional fillers providing paint formulators a toolbox to achieve economic formulations with excellent technical performance. The product range includes hydrous kaolins with fine but steep particle distribution up to coarse calcined kaolins with extraordinary srub resistance for flat paint formulations.
