This session explores why traditional coating quality control methods alone are often insufficient when transitioning towards digital coating processes, particularly precision inkjet coating applications.
It introduces the advanced material characterisation techniques required to understand and optimise coatings for digital deposition, including shear rheology, extensional rheology, high-frequency rheology, surface tension analysis, particle characterisation and jetting performance evaluation.

Participants will learn how these advanced measurement approaches help predict coating behaviour during digital deposition, improve process reliability, and enable the successful development of next-generation digital coating formulations.
