The conference offers attendees new insights for the formulation with resins, additives, polymers and for finished products such as varnishes, coatings, adhesives and inks that help manufacturers to develop increasingly sustainable and circular packaging in paper, plastic and other materials.

The packaging industry, especially for the food sector, is undergoing a profound transformation in its formulations as some raw materials, used in the past, are today banned by the European Community, to encourage the circularity of materials.

It is implicit that this induces the manufacturers of coating products, inks and adhesives and semi-finished products, to completely review their formulations in order to adapt and manufacture eco-friendly and next generation products.

The substrates involved are considerable and range from plastic, paper, cardboard, laminates, metallized films and various metals, such as can and coil coatings, as well as other types of products.

With new production processes and the use of barrier coatings, the packaging manufacturing process is facilitated making packaging material more circular, simplifying disposal and recycling.
